Contemporary Art & Studio Ceramics Gallery in Ring wood and on the edge of the New Forest Hampshire
From its beginning the Gallery has enjoyed the collaboration and friendship of many notable artists and ceramicists. The early encouragement of David and Kathleen Ballantyne was equalled by John Leach who gave the Gallery the best of starts with a one person show of his excellent work. This set the high standard of work displayed that continues today.
The Gallery opened in 1989 on the ground floor of Roger Bettle’s architect office at 78 Christchurch Road. After several sideways moves and consolidation some sixteen years later the Gallery found itself at number 82 Christchurch Road and remained there until 2008. Then there was a period using vacant shop premises for sporadic exhibitions. For the last your years the Gallery has re established itself back at No 82 Christchurch Road thanks to the indulgence of the present owner and continues to hold four seasonal exhibitions a year.
